How It Began

Vendela and Chandler met back in 2021, a week before their final year in university. Vendela was on Seattle University's Women's Golf Team with a +2 handicap. Chandler was on the University of Washington's Men's Rowing Team and had recently won a national championship. Their competitive spirits and desire to excel at whatever they set their minds to created a perfect match from day one.

Vendela currently works at EY as a Senior Auditor and enjoys golf, pilates, crocheting, and reading in her free time. Chandler works at a London startup, Trumpet, as an Account Executive, and spends his time producing music, training for marathons, and sim car racing outside of work. They currently live in Atlanta, Georgia with their precious golden doodle, Stella.

The Place

Mallorca

The largest of the Balearic Islands, Mallorca sits in the Mediterranean between Barcelona and Sardinia. Palma, its capital, is anchored by La Seu, the 13th-century Gothic cathedral overlooking the bay.

Beyond the city, the island unfolds into the Tramuntana mountains, quiet stone villages, olive groves, and coves cut into limestone cliffs. It's a place made for long meals, warm evenings, and unhurried company; we couldn't think of a better setting to bring everyone we love together.

Palma de Mallorca (PMI)

Direct flights from most major European cities. From the US, easiest route is via Madrid, Barcelona, or London. We recommend arriving on Friday, May 28th or Saturday morning, May 29th so you're here in time for the welcome events.

Stockholm guests: we've prebooked two round-trip options from ARN to PMI. Select yours in the RSVP form. SAS (4,400 SEK) or Norwegian (4,900 SEK).

Where to Stay

Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá

We've reserved a block of rooms at subsidized rates for our guests. Additional rooms are reserved at the neighboring Meliá Palma Marina.

€250/night double room, €200/night single room. Subsidized nights: 4 for overseas guests (Fri to Tue), 3 for European guests (Fri to Mon or Sat to Tue).

Getting Around

Shuttles provided

No need to rent a car. We'll have shuttles running from the hotels to every event throughout the weekend, including the beach club welcome, wedding, and catamaran day.

Guests living on Mallorca are warmly welcome to join the hotel shuttles for any event.

What to Pack

Colorful formal attire & summer linens

Expect warm days and a lot of sun. Pack your swim suits, sun screen, shoes you can dance in, and shorts, t-shirt or similar for the optional hike. For the ceremony, we encourage formal wear for the men and long dresses for the women. Bright colors highly encouraged.

What do I wear for the ceremony?

Colors highly encouraged! Think bright oranges, light blues, pinks, or any colors that speak to you.

Men must wear formal attire with a suit jacket or sport coat and a tie. Go wild with colorful ties or accessories, plus dress shoes (no Jordans, Chandler!).

Women must wear long dresses and bright colors, just no white!

Are children invited?

We adore your little ones, but to keep the weekend intimate we're keeping this a mostly adults-only celebration. Children are not permitted unless we've reached out to you directly.

If you're unsure whether your kids are included, please email us before RSVPing.

How do I get to each event?

We're providing shuttles from the Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá to every event throughout the weekend, including the beach club welcome, the ceremony and reception, and the catamaran day. There's no need to rent a car.

What's the weather like in late May?

Warm, sunny, and Mediterranean. Expect temperatures around 70 to 80°F (21 to 27°C) during the day and cooler in the evenings. Pack sunscreen, a light layer for after sunset, and something you can dance in.

Do I need to book my own hotel?

We've reserved rooms at subsidized rates at the Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá and the neighboring Meliá Palma Marina. Rates are €250 per night for a double room and €200 per night for a single room.

Subsidized nights: four nights (Friday to Tuesday) for overseas guests, three nights (Friday to Monday or Saturday to Tuesday) for European guests. Select your preferred package in the RSVP form.

Are flights covered?

No, guests are responsible for their own flights. For guests flying from Stockholm we've held two group flight options at fixed round-trip prices (ARN to PMI):

Option 1 · SAS · 4,400 SEK — Sat May 29 (05:55) to Tue Jun 1 (return 13:10)
Option 2 · Norwegian · 4,900 SEK — Fri May 28 (19:55) to Mon May 31 (return 15:30)

Select your preference in the RSVP form. Payments are handled by La Paloma Event.

How does payment work for hotels and flights?

All hotel bookings are coordinated by La Paloma Event, and you'll settle the bill directly with the hotel at check-in.

Contact jessica@lapalomaevent.com for anything booking-related — extra nights, changes, payment questions, single-room availability, and so on.

Will there be organized activities between events?

Yes! We'll have hotel pool-deck loungers available in the afternoon on Saturday, and a yoga session and/or guided walk / hike in the morning on Sunday. More details closer to the date.

I live on Mallorca — can I still join events at the hotels?

Absolutely, and we'd love to have you. Even if you're not staying at the hotels, you're warmly welcome to join the shuttle coaches departing from Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá and Meliá Palma Marina for any of the weekend events. Just let us know in your RSVP so we can save you a seat.

Do I need a passport or visa?

Yes. A valid passport is required for all guests entering Spain. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Please check your passport's expiration date well in advance, since Spain requires at least 3 months of validity past your return date.

What's the currency and language?

Spain uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, though it's helpful to carry some cash for smaller shops. Spanish and Catalan are the local languages, but English is spoken almost everywhere in Palma and the tourist areas.

How do I RSVP?

Right here on the site. Head to the RSVP section and fill out the form. Please respond by December 15th, 2026.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please tell us in the RSVP form. We'll do our very best to accommodate every guest.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to this being a destination wedding, +1's are only allowed if specifically noted on your formal invitation. Thanks so much for understanding, and please reach out if you have any questions.

What is there to do in Mallorca before or after the wedding?

Our agenda is packed from Saturday through Monday, so you'll have plenty going on with everyone throughout the weekend. If you'd like to explore Mallorca beyond that, we encourage doing so either before or after the wedding.

Once you're in Europe, flights to nearby cities are surprisingly affordable, so it's a wonderful excuse to extend the trip and see more of the continent after the wedding.

If you'd like ideas, we'll share our favorite spots on the island closer to the trip. A few to start: wander old town Palma, visit the cathedral (La Seu), drive up into the Tramuntana mountains, spend a day at Cala d'Or or Playa de Muro, or take a boat out along the coast.
